I beat cholesterol in just 12 weeks!

I was at my heaviest I’ve ever been at the beginning of the 12 weeks and after Easter really felt like I needed to do something about it. I was falling into a really bad pattern of buying McDonalds and takeaway Indian / Italian all the time with my husband as we kept leaving dinner to the last minute and eating out on the weekends. I then got a blood test check up done and found that my cholesterol was extremely high and that I needed to do something about it or would need to start taking tablets.

I’ve been with Booty Camp for over 3 years as I started before getting married. I’ve never been one for exercise but loved the idea of it being outdoors and all women, I definitely felt better exercising but was just plateauing with my weight and then started getting bigger.

I was really happy with my final results as I’ve lost a total of 27.5 cms and 9.2 kgs AND most importantly my cholesterol levels have gone down too with EYS and I’m definitely continuing with the things that I’ve learnt over the last 12 weeks.

Angela Baker: Booty Camper of the Year 2012

Ange first started doing Booty Camp back in 2011. Prior to that she had been working long days in a stressful role, which meant that, not only did she not have time to exercise, but she didn’t have the time to cook a decent meal for herself when she finally got home at the end of the day. Finally it all came to a head one night when she had a minor stroke and had to be taken to emergency. Luckily for Ange it was only a minor one and the physical impact of the stroke was only slight.

The stroke was definitely a big wake up call for Ange and she realised that she needed to make some big changes in her life.

She immediately reduced her work load and put her health as one of the most important parts of her life. She signed up to Booty Camp, started going for a walk at least 3 times a week and began taking more care with her diet. Before we knew it, the kilos started dropping off her.

Ange has certainly been an inspiration and it is so good to see her more confident and enjoying life.

I had hit rock bottom and Booty Camp brought me back to life.
I was facing an uphill battle. I was overweight. I was bored, lonely, unhappy and unhealthy. I decided I needed a distraction and googled “boot camps”

The next click changed my life forever. “Booty Camp”
I still remember my very first session. I was blown away by the group of amazing women training that night. I walked home that night thinking “this is going to be hard but it’s only 6 weeks”. By the end of the 6 weeks, I was hooked and I’ve never looked back.

I’ve had 2 trainers during my 18 months of Booty Camp, and I credit those women with providing me the inspiration to achieve my goals. I changed my diet, lifestyle habits and most importantly, my attitude. The weight started coming off and the progression was noticeable, both physically and emotionally. I’m now happier, healthier, enthusiastic and confident. I look forward to seeing the girls twice a week, we have our catch ups before the hard work starts and we always manage a few laughs during the sessions as well. I have made so many wonderful friends and it’s great that we share common goals.

I now have the drive and determination to continue achieving any goals I set for myself and I look forward to continuing with Booty Camp well beyond reaching my physical goal.

Overall, I’ve lost 23kgs. I know that if it wasn’t for Booty Camp, I would not be in the place I’m in now, physically and mentally. On the night of my 30th birthday party, I was in a size 10 dress and had never felt so ecstatic about my own body.
